VIEW MORNING SUNLIGHT MASHUP •
-
I realize this is a message I have repeated before (hence the mashup) but in all seriousness: Among the top 5 things we can all do for mental health, physical health and performance is to view low solar angle (circa-sunrise) sunlight as close to waking as possible each day. If you wake up prior to when the sun is out just view it as soon as possible, and not with sunglasses (but eye glasses and contacts are fine). Ideally you face in the direction of the sun but don’t hesitate to blink as needed and never stare at any light — sunlight or otherwise, that it is painful to look at.
-
Do this for *minimum* 5-10 min on clear days, 10-20 on cloudy days and 20-30 on overcast days. If you live in an areas with minimal sun get what you can and also consider using MORE artificial bright light in the morning and day.
-
At night avoid bright lights 10pm- 4am.
