Chatted with @cgray209 about all things pride, Title IX and how it’s helped us and is failing us. We filmed this before the decision to overturn Roe v Wade came out otherwise we would have mentioned it explicitly. How wild is it that we’ve celebrated 50 years of title IX while in the same month, (pride month) the Supreme Court has striped so many women of their bodily rights. What’s so important to note about title IX is that’s it progressive legislation that forced the powers at be to include us. Without it, we wouldn’t have been included and afforded such opportunities. It’s why we NEED progressive policies —> to protect people! This moment in time our oppressors want us to be afraid to feel despair. Yes we grieve and mourn and rage and then we continue to fight our asses off! I will continue to celebrate pride because I’m alive and thriving and that is a MF’n revolution in and of itself!
