Deep diver going down! This whale was holding its breath for 30 to 40 minutes on Friday. It required patience, but the payoff at the end was this huge tail coming high out of the water. The Sperm Whale is a rare sighting for us as they spend most of their time far away from shore. They come close to the coastal shelf a few times a year to feed, the reason why remains a mystery.
