Im officially a baldieeeee! 👩🏿‍🦲 I have worn braids my entire life, and I have never had issues with braiding hair- until now. After my last install, my face and neck were completely broken out in rashes and after a week of trying to convince myself I was breaking out from something else- I had to take my braids out. But the damage was already done. My scalp was dry, irritated, and suffering from the tension. I put on my wig but quickly decided it was time to CUT IT ALL OFF. I have never felt more FREE. I can’t begin to explain the pressure that comes as a Black woman constantly trying to figure out what to do to my hair.
