It’s the last week of Strange Clay!!! They have late openings and everything! I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Hayward team; tech and curators, lovely invigilators, and @clifflauson and Ralph Rugoff, for all their help making this very odd idea of mine come alive. They supported this idea from the start and I feel so happy with what we achieved. Whenever asked my dream place to exhibit, I always said the Hayward. It’s been such a special place for me...I knew I wanted to become an artist after I saw their ‘Psycho Buildings’ exhibition. The catalogue has become my bible ever since. It’s very much been a pinch me moment since this has opened! But to be in this Hayward show, with so many artists I admire has been mega! But also I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been to see it! I love seeing all your insta images of the parts you’ve enjoyed and hearing from the Hayward team that you’ve giggled at and relished this rodent hell hole! It means the world to me x
