Ruins of Empire, 2022, my first major public art commission and the largest sculpture I’ve made to date, opens tomorrow, May 17, in the group exhibition Black Atlantic in Brooklyn Bridge Park ( @brooklynbridgepark ) commissioned by Public Art Fund (@publicartfund )! Co-curated by Dan Palmer and Hugh Hayden, Black Atlantic brings together work by Leilah Babirye, Hugh Hayden, Dozie Kanu, Tau Lewis, and Kiyan Williams.
