Here’s a quick test we did several years ago for Macon Blair’s “I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore”. Very simple articulated snake was done with a monofilament attached to its tail and draped over the shoulder. The end of the line was attached to a rod near the ground. In the scene as the actor stumbles forward the puppeteer pulls the monofilament causing the coiling action. Just a little movement to give some life to it.
