Porter’s 30th | March 24, 2024 my first table-painting… little did I know that this project would embed itself in countless event planner mood boards and that I would be receiving so many inquiries “if I could do this sort of thing” and getting to reply, “yes, actually that’s my work!” thank you @gatheringsbyemily for choosing me despite the fact I’d never done this before and @portersimmons for the freedom to add perhaps not-obvious complementary colors like fluo pink and merlot to an all-orange palette AND for choosing iconic motifs like a so-bad-it’s-good cake and cigarettes and spilled wine that were the most fun to paint. also, shoutout to @92sutton for the menus and other stationery - many, many clients have asked me to do a similar menu design, which I had nothing to do with, so let’s give her the credit please! monoline cursive brush lettering in custom-mixed gouache some of the other vendors: @eloisephotography @acquolina.catering @partyrentalltd @okamotostudio @flowerpsychos @solidwiggles @brooklynballooncompany
