There’s nothing like the feeling of being able to love who you want to love — to be accepted for who you are. It’s a feeling that is nearly indescribable and breaks my heart that many never have that chance. I feel so lucky and grateful to have had the ability to be somewhere where I can safely be myself and hope that others will have that opportunity. Please know that whether you are out or not, you are not alone, you are loved and you belong here. That being said, I cannot believe how long it took me to be myself and hope that it’s not too late for me to be the representation that girls in the Middle East need.
