With self-authorship at the core of SHOWstudio’s 8000-strong avatar collection, ikon-1 muse @uglyworldwide brings their digital avatar to life with a paper mache mannequin. To bridge the digital and physical realms, Jazzelle has joined our expansive community of illustrators for a special exhibition illustrating ikons, now open at SHOWstudio. From watercolours to pastels, we’re showcasing the IRL renditions of ikon-1, physical artefacts of a digital project like no other by our cohort of designers, and a behind-the-scenes look at this boundary-breaking project. illustrating ikons is open for free at SHOWstudio from 20-22 December from 10:30-18:00 GMT.
