We need change NOW. Sobering new data from @inclusionists shows that Muslims are missing and maligned in popular films, with women & Black people particularly erased. The cost of on-screen dehumanisation and demonisation is measured in hate and lost lives. Our industry has the imagination & the resources to fix this problem. Now it must show the will, and the new Blueprint for Muslim Inclusion and #MuslimVisibilityChallenge from @pillarsfund @fordfoundation @inclusionists @rizahmed offers a practical roadmap for the industry.
