On this Day, Fourteen Years Ago... Labor Day weekend, we moved in to this new/old house. We sprinted to get it to where we could live here but continue to work on it. The kids were about to start school and we wanted them to ride the bus from here their first day of the new school year. Swipe to see some old pics! The last pic is the old cottage we dismantled- we kept whatever we could to incorporate into the new house. The second pic shows how we used all the old trim to create the casing for our library entry and the third is a pic of the old kitchen cupboard that we built in to the hallway (on the right!). We used some of the old doors in the entry to the sleeping porch. The cupboard is decorated for halloween here because just before we took down the cottage we made a haunted house for a halloween party for the kids! And because we did that, the kids all remember every inch of that old house!
