A year in the making. So excited to share Danielle for Comme Si, The Studio Shirt. @daniellegoldberg has been a supporter of @commesi since day one. She ‘gets’ it and we’ve built a foundation of mutual trust over the years. Things evolved naturally when she and I started talking about button down shirts. If you know Danielle you know she has impeccable taste - her shirts are always tailored and worn just so. Her secret was that she’d sew snaps into her favorite mens shirts, so she could wear them halfway unbuttoned. My favorite button down is a vintage mens Givenchy one that’s perfectly worn-in, and I’d safety pin it at the spot where it’s just revealing enough. Fast forward to us creating The Studio Shirt together. It’s tailored in all the right places - a razor sharp collar with a structured shoulder and relaxed menswear shape - made from crisp Italian cotton poplin that will only get better with time. And we added a first-of-its-kind detail: a hidden snap. In true Comme Si form, it’s the detail that makes the difference. This small edit transforms the silhouette of the shirt, giving it character and ease. It’s a guide to wear the shirt, the stylist’s finishing touch.
