WHAT A DAY! sunday started with a whole horde of @socialcyclingnyc buddies starting a beach ride here and the day only got progressively better from that already-high high. thanks @dandividedbydan and @damitron for mustering the troops here! always so happy when y’all visit. then just as the social cycling crew was rolling out david and his son from @startracknyc came to set up the rollers for the day’s sprints race and DAMN was that fun! thank you @kissenatrackfam for making that connection for me. we had 20 racers for the roller sprints and another ten for the street sprints down three blocks or second ave. kirill won the open category indoor sprints while @blackrussian808 won the outdoor sprints. and in the abcd (all-but-cis-dudes) category @_hstam swept BOTH races and @kkuccino took second for the street racing. major thank you to all the folks who donated prizes for the raffle: @ratking_sue @bernadetteteeters @prof_rockwell @718_cyclery @wubywambie @cararemixed @ryanoconnorstudio @davidfbarthold @zapplspies @onespeedfixed @smart_glamour @lilirockrose another round of applause to @kkuccino for making the stellar flyer and to @ontheblockwithsoho for busting out these killer spoke cards and also for planting the idea in my head for this whole event in the first place. and last but not least (whew, so many words here, thanks for sticking around y’all, ily), my undying praise and adoration is bequeathed upon the unremittingly amazing @wubywambie, without whom this event would have been a very bedraggled and un-æsthetic spectacle. what even would i do without you
