My punim and some of my fave drawings from the Harry Collins papers on expertise that I read while making my meal concept for the @mitlistarts summer art series On The Table, which launched yesterday. Second to last slide is the guest list, last is the “menu”. The meal is a game that looks at the isolation inherent to participating in gatherings outside of our usual social environments (and sometimes present even within them) and works to dissolve group hierarchies through an invisible horizontal structure (directed participation), and activation of ubiquitous expertise (the ways we already know how to participate).
