“I think that creating something by hand is what defines us as humans.” James Otter spends his days hand crafting bespoke wooden surfboards in his workshop on the Cornish coast. On Monday mornings, he heads out into the waves. The process creates a connection “unlike anything else,” he says, and as the board is surfed over many years, this connection deepens.
