We are glad to hear that @sparknz has teamed up with @outlineaotearoa to create the awesome “Beyond Binary Code”. As the Mother of a house of queer, indigenous, and diverse family members it is beautiful to see the “Beyond Binary Code” come to fruition. To only be presented with two gender options can make people feel erased and not considered deserving of safety, support and validation. To be beyond binary is to consider a wider range of experiences that make diverse people and communities feel welcomed in a world that needs to serve them/us. To get with the code not only is a good business move but it shows us as customers/ potential partners/ employers that we have full autonomy over our identity, which we should always have! We deserve to live a in a virtual world that reflects our physical. The people of this world are colourful, beautiful & forever evolving and as a bonus, for a person still on their journey to self discovery, to see the Beyond Binary Code and its diverse options takes off the pressure as you can even identify as your name if you're not ready.
