Meet Afe and Henry 🤍 Afe is from Eritrea and Henry is from London. They were introduced through the @hostnationuk befriending service which matches newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers with local people in cities across the UK. I met them at Henry’s house for breakfast and interviewed them for the most recent episode of the podcast. What they have gained from their relationship is really special. In the same way that we have so much to gain from travel, we have so much to learn and experience from connection and friendship with those different from us. Although they don’t share a country or culture, they have so much in common and their story really touched me.
