Hip Dominant (slides 2/3)
- feet high & “narrow” on the platform
- slow and controlled on the way down, explosive going back up
- “soft” on the lockout
- foot position here limits how much your knees bend which means more hammies/glutes
Knee Dominant (slides 4/5)
- feet low and “neutral” on the platform
- slow and controlled down, explosive up
- “soft” lockout here as well
- foot position puts you into a much higher degree of knee flexion which means more quads
Things to keep in mind: foot placement is crucial here in dictating how your body is affected by the movement so pick the placement that fits your goals best and roll with it! Also, everyone has a different active range of motion so get as low as YOU comfortably can and progress from there, cool? Cool
