In case you missed the latest on YouTube, my Morocco video is live! It’s the last episode of a 5-part series of my sister and I circling the Mediterranean in 40 days, visiting Spain, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Tunisia, and finally, Morocco. Our mission was explore how this region is intertwined historically, politically, culturally, and (most importantly) through the female lens. We met up with local women in each spot who were breaking barriers as entrepreneurs, artists, or athletes etc. to try get a better understanding of their home through their eyes. We quite literally witnessed cultures & ethnicities shift as we moved from the west, to the east, to the west again. While some of the differences felt stark, it was beautiful to see how interconnected these communities are overall, linked by overlapping histories, shifting borders, and common experiences in the present. It was QUITE the undertaking for a 2 person team, but I can say I’ve left with a greater understanding on not just this region, but how much manages to connect us ALL at the end of the day. And that unity gives me hope for our collective future🥹
