Welcome to the “The Meccaverse.” That’s Howard University homecoming, a weeklong celebration that honors the legacy of this renowned HBCU in Washington, DC. This year, Mister and Miss Howard University — @princerashan (Rashan Schoffner) and @queen.cecc (Cecily Davis) — are taking us to homecoming. “Homecoming is a time when we can truly take in @howard1867 (Howard University) culture for what it is; everything from the band to the dancers to the players to campus culture comes alive during this time,” says Rashan. “Seeing all of the notable alumni, as well as mentors who are recent grads, allows for a sense of pride, reassuring in a few short years we will be on the same path of greatness,” says Cecily.
