I don't drink and don't do drugs. I've never tried it and I have no interest to. If you're watching this season of The Ultimate Fighter, you know my dad passed away from his drug addiction while I was in quarantine getting ready to go into the TUF house. ⁠ ⁠ It was really tough timing but I'm glad it happened when it did so I was able to talk about that part of my story. It's had a lot of influence in my life and has helped me become the fighter I am in and out of the cage. ⁠ ⁠ Watching and hearing about my dad's struggle with addiction, I knew I wanted the exact opposite for myself. ⁠ ⁠ ⁠ I know being the only one who is sober at parties isn't always the "cool" thing to do, but I hope I can show people that you can still have a fun and pretty cool life free from drugs.⁠ ⁠ I've received so many kind messages from people who are going through or went through similar situations. ⁠ ⁠ If you have someone in your life who struggles with addiction just know I feel for you. 🤍 And if you're battling a drug addiction, just know I'm rooting for you. 👊🏻
