"TO BE SEEN is a movement that launched with a short film to push the conversations around chronic illness culture to the front of our society for the first time.

We flew four creators upending chronic illness culture on TikTok to Los Angeles, CA to make a short film shot on 16mm film highlighting how teenagers navigate life and a new diagnosis with a chronic illness.

Chronic illnesses historically get left out of cultural trends — we chose to shoot film because it opens the doors for others to see and hear from this culture while wrapped in the aesthetically pleasing colors, grain and relatability of motion picture film."
