When touring slows down after the New Year, I quickly get back into studio mode. Spending most of February and March locked away with my longtime engineer @mattnordstrom, I try to conjure as much creativity as time, patience and luck will allow. It’s when all the stored ideas from many months of collecting and playing music - as well as gauging crowd reaction - is unleashed and we experiment without any limits. For many years @time_warp_official was always that first proper testing ground for the fully fleshed out or half-baked music we’d come up with and here’s an early version of ‘Dark Matter’ which I debuted as my last song at Timewarp in 2018 and which @arte.tv so beautifully captured.
