✨Decolonizing Wealth Project is excited to offer a day of healing and regeneration for our white-identified/European-descended colleagues in the field of philanthropy! ⠀ In October 2020, we launched the Heal With Us healing summit series- initially focused on grantmakers of color. Summit participants were able to come together in a community of peers to receive support from a broad range of healing practitioners. A particular point of emphasis for grantmakers of color were their challenging interactions and relationships with white colleagues- both within their philanthropic organization and in the broader sector. So, with clear guidance and feedback from our community - coupled with the belief that white people have their own labor and healing to do in order to dismantle white supremacy - we decided to hold the first healing summit for white-identifying individuals last year. We celebrate when white-identifying people want to gather and organize against white supremacy. While the majority of our healing summits will remain focused on communities of color, we believe it is imperative to continue to offer this space for our sector to change.
