Happy #pinkwednesday everyone! @benefitcosmetics and @influenster #gifted me this product in exchange for my honest review and here are my thoughts 💖Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Pencil💖 ♡12-hr longwear ♡Transfer-proof ♡Waterproof ♡Feels weightless ♡The first Brow pencil with silk cotton tree fibers and powder I've mentioned my struggles with my overplucked eyebrows before, and I prefer a very thin pencil application for more natural brows, so I was scared trying this because it's big (compared to other brow products). The application was quite easy though, the pencil is very pigmented and deposits a lot of color, which can lead to a heavy handed application. The spoolie that's included is very helpful because you're able to difuse the product and end up with a more natural application. I ended up liking this a lot more than I initially thought However, the #1 ingredient in this pencil is mica and that's a very controversial ingredient, so I'm not thrilled this has it. I also couldn't find any information whether Benefit uses naturally and ethically sourced mica or if it's synthetic. Either way, I avoid purchasing products that contain mica so I would not repurchase. I also avoid companies that are not cruelty free and although they claim not to test on animals themselves, they do sell in China where animal testing is mandatory and are not certified cruelty free by any organization. All in all I don't care about the final results or how much I like a product if I feel like I can't ethically recommend it. Sorry Benefit, it's 2022, time to do better.
