"Looking at the housing developments stretch further and further out, at the million year old volcanic ash in an eroding frame of sedimentary rock, at decades old burn scars in a forest, at an endless stream of cars disappearing and reappearing, I sense it all quietly collapsing. The rotation of the cyclical rising and falling of life has suddenly reached a speed within the range of human perception. Once heard, this frequency becomes incessant. If solace is to be found, it’s in whatever lies between the waves of existence, in that sea beneath them. To catch glimpses of the infinite fertile void, to see through the chaos and illusions, is to transcend the limits of linearity. In this amorphous state, with all tenses of time present, notions of separateness vanish, and in this expanse acceptance lies. In 'Gone Gone' I look for epochs (of all significances) ending. In these moments, the veil of the present grows transparent and I get a sense of the eternity embedded in our situation. These moments and places contain the present truth but also the truths of past and future." - @tgeanak Only 5 more days to send your projects to JRNL 15 guest editor Milo Montelli, founder @skinnerboox!
