This time last year I held a party in Tottenham to celebrate the local launch for Keeping the House. It was a special evening. DJ sets from @shiririii (who has also produced one of the tracks on my EP), the wonderful @jessmavz started the night off with a flourish, @jessebernard.wav (who I later did a b2b with) and @_avenhue who is one of my DJing musical matches. The night circled a performance from my EP with @domogorille @ksoul_8 and @acekeyz — one day I'll share the video. I held onto these pictures for a while because it was a very meaningful time for me and sometimes you have to keep some things for yourself, so I did, for a year 😅 the love in the room was electric. A year on...October 21st 2022 at @referencepoint180 I am throwing a Neoprene Genie bookiversary party. It'll also be a listening party with a twist for my EP, to get a sense of it before we mix and master it. I'm trying to create special experiences and showcases with @NeopreneGenie that bring together the unique artists that I love so that they can discover aspects of themselves. We'll be having a mystic cypher with @hannieayter @slyraskal @trashhhhash @elha.sara , my @fwrdmtn family (like the virtuosic @latekid_ and @kemanci___)will be representing across art, music and more, @oliviaddouglass will be joining us to reflect another part of their artistry, and we have @m.icthree who is one of my favourite rappers (and all round artists) in London.
