That’s Life🖤 Where do I even begin? Being on So You Think You Can Dance is something that I never even let myself dream of because I didn’t think it was possible. To have made it to the TOP 6 of this competition is more than I could have ever asked for. I’ve said since the beginning of this competition, that my presence on this show is so much bigger than just me. I am eternally grateful to @jeffthacker and @robertroldan_ and countless others for entrusting me with this life-changing opportunity. To have the chance to be 100% myself - loud, proud, and queer - on this show and for it to never be shied away from is monumental. Additionally, I had the chance to show America that dance is for every body. It has been an honor to know that I have meant so much to so many who have never seen themselves represented on this stage. This experience is the hardest thing physically, mentally, and emotionally that I have ever done in my life. But it made me continue to fall more in love with my body. Our bodies are so strong and so capable. It also reminded me that to dance is to live. Dance is a celebration of life and our gorgeous bodies. So never stop dancing, no matter what any ignorant person has to say. The 11 other brilliant artists I had the privilege of sharing this stage with are now my family. What a true honor it was to learn, grow, laugh, and love with them. Lastly, my first and last solos on this show were choreographed at times in my life where it felt impossible to keep pushing. How fitting that I now get to bring joy to them on a National platform and show that even when you want to give up, you must always keep going. Because that’s life.
