Mending is out today🤍 This was a new experience for me at the steering wheel of a project and I had no plan in place for it when me and @yvesfernandez started writing together back in 2020. It shaped itself slowly through lockdowns and a lot of turmoil both in myself and in the world. I quickly realised this music was the only avenue where I was comfortable enough to express and sort through difficult emotions and it became a space for me to get a lot of truth out of my system. Each song is an honouring of the relationships I have formed over the years, regardless of their journey and the title track ‘Mending’ is one I wrote as a reminder to forgive myself for hurt I caused when I felt really lost. To take accountability but to free myself in the process. I am so proud of this and I hope you find something in it when you listen.
