Television's night of nights has come and gone for another year, and the 2022 #EmmyAwards were a presentation like no other. Amongst the glitz and glamour, a host of deserving stars got their flowers, with a range of first-time winners and decorated stars taking home #Emmys. Among them, #Zendaya took home the Emmy for lead actress in a drama series, becoming the first-ever Black actress to do so twice. Further, #Lizzo made it halfway to becoming an EGOT, #Ozark‘s Julia Garner beat out some tough competition for the title of best actress and #SquidGame's Lee Jung-jae took home the highly competitive award for best actor in a drama, making him the first actor in a non-English language series to win (or even be nominated) in the category.
