This is my dad. He’s the type of fun-loving guy who takes pictures like this. He also has Alzheimer’s Disease. And this year in particular has been tough. Today is my mom’s birthday, and she posted to her Facebook page that all she wanted were donations to the Alzheimer’s Association for research. I want to help her with that. Any form of support you’re willing to do or comfortable with. I’m not setting a goal for this fundraiser: the goal is the awareness and however much support it ends with. One of the worst parts of this disease is the hopelessness — knowing it won’t get better and only gets worse, at an uncertain pace. Because there isn’t much in the way of treatment. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Please help support those who are working for cures and treatment if you can.
