Miya Hourani — Moreland alumna and recent featured guest on the Front of the Class podcast — brings up an excellent point here, even if it may seem counterintuitive to you... 🤔 Giving students a break in the middle of class is usually a productive thing! Even as adults, it can be hard to focus on work for 45-90 minutes (which is the typical amount of time a class lasts), so of course it's difficult for our students to do. Giving students a 5-10 minute brain break, according to Hourani, helps the students reset and recharge so they can be more present and engaged in the rest of the lesson 🧠 Do you believe in giving your students brain breaks? If so, share with us some of the ways you approach a brain break in the comments below! 👇 And don't forget to check out this episode at the link in our bio! #FrontOfTheClass #FrontOfTheClassPodcast #FotCPodcast #FotC #TeacherPodcast #EducationPodcast #NewPodcast #MorelandUniversity
