H_space_H head_space_head (H)AIR (E)motion BerlinAIR Installing AIR information for a different Communication Collaboration @sssl_berlin & #isabellewis With @_ethanbraun_ @solistenensemble.kaleidoskop Between the In_Betweens of the amazing Erich Mendelsohn Hatfactory (1923). Factory becomes the continuation of the train journey from Berlin to Luckenwalde. H_space_H as a motif, encodes & decodes sound & smell into public space. In duets the performers tune to the train's frequency, and to the haphazard soundings & smells in its environment. These then translate through the performer's instrument, voice, and body into codes of alternative communication along the journey all the way from Berlin - on the train - through the Luckenwalde’s streets into The Mendelssohn Hat Factory. The Factory acts as an airy HEAD chamber where the sound meets smell and gesture. The performed codes modulate through chorale and meditation, beyond aria and noise. Visitors are given access into another world - our invisible shared AIR world - not far from our actual world but with a specific culture and new mood of communication. It is this culture of receptivity and response that is staged on this site: ACTION & REACTION H_space_H heightens awareness to the fragility of human communication not only interhuman but also with the micro/macro levels of content in the environment. Sometimes the complexity of communication creates its own specific unusual beauty in rare moments of communion interhuman or otherwise.
