Drawing inspiration from Bowie, Flaming Lips and #thebends era Radiohead this new MOTHÉ song BREATHE THE AIR ON THE MOON is simply otherworldly. Aside from it being a beautifully written song, Spencer, @littlelonnie and I spent many, many late studio nights creating strange textures and drum loops that could tell the story in three parts ending with a final interstellar explosion where @mothemothemothe drifts off into the darkness strumming a 12 string guitar. The tracking was completed at the magical @sonicranch in El Paso, TX.
