This whole process was SO HARD, but so worth it! I wanted to save on costs and lumber is still very expensiveee, especially for a larger space, so I decided to use MDF and paint all the wainscoting with @Retique It (it’s a paint made of real wood that can be stained). We hired our friend who works in construction to install the wainscoting. Since I wanted 3 rectangles going up and every wall was a different length, it was sooo much math and problem solving and he did SO amazing. I couldn’t have done it myself! Then we took over for the paint and stain part. The learning process was a pain in the butt and we slept in a tiny full bed in our guest room for almost a month during the paint and stain portion alone. 😵‍💫 but now that its done, it’s such a payoff and just what I imagined!
