Summertime vibes, but make it a gallette 🤌🏽 #tastemademedoit . This recipe doesn’t have to be intimidating, knock out different components over a day or two (or opt for some store-bought products!) Assemble&bake the day you’d like to serve! . . . 🍅SUMMERTIME VEG GALLETTE🍆 The Dough: •1 1/2 C flour •1/2 C butter (diced small&COLD) •1/4 tsp salt • 5 Tbsp water (COLD🥶) Combine flour and salt. Add the butter and combine with a pastry cutter until it resembles crumbles. Add water and combine again. Turn the dough out on a floured surface to form a ball. Cover throughly with plastic wrap, refrigerate. The Caramelized Onion: •Olive Oil •1 large onion •salt as needed •water as needed Small dice ze onions. Preheat ya sauté pan and coat pan with olive oil. Add onions, season with salt, and cook over low heat until they are tender and golden brown. Use water as necessary to prevent sticking. Cool this down plzz. The Tomato Sauce: •3 Tbsp olive oil •1 lb tomatoes •3 cloves garlic (sliced thin) •salt&pepper •small handful of basil (torn) Preheat ya sauce pot, add olive oil and sauté the garlic until aromatic. DONT BURN IT. Add your tomatoes (+season) and cook over low heat until they’ve broken down. Once this resembles a sauce, crush any large pieces with a fork, add your basil, simmer for 5 more minutes and cool this shii DOWN. The Vegetables: •seasonal vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, squash, etc.) •salt Slice veg thin by knife or mandolin, and lay out over paper towels. Salt, and allow to sit for 25-30 minutes. Use a paper towel to dab off excess water. Assemble tart. Assembly: ~Remove ya dough from the fridge and roll it out to a rough circle shape about 12-14” in diameter ~Spread goat cheese across the tart leaving a 2” border along the edge ~Spread the Caramelized Onion over the cheese ~Spread the Tomato Sauce over the onion ~Layer the vegetables in whatever way makes you feel happy ~Fold the galette edges over the filling in a rustic manor, being careful not to rip the dough ~Brush the dough with egg wash and grate fresh parm over the top ~Bake at 425 degrees for about 30 minutes until golden brown and flakey. ✨VOILA!
