Today, I passed my second bill! Alongside the New York City Council’s Rat Pack, @SandyforCouncil @ebottcher @ShaunAbreu and myself, we passed a legislative package that spells doom for NYC’s rats. My bill, Intro 414, will equip us with high-quality intel to guide our fight against the rats. This will guide and inform all other anti-rat action and finally give us the upper hand. Like I said I would do on the campaign trail, I’m taking on the rats head-on. Now, I have to acknowledge: without a citywide trash containerization program, our gains against the rodents will be modest. But we are laying down the groundwork and mobilizing our government so that, when citywide containerization becomes a reality, it’s effectiveness will be maximized.
