Growing up in northern Ontario as a young teenager at a time when goth “fashion” was not really popular I would always get “it’s not Halloween you know”! And “what are you wearing a Halloween costume?” It was annoying. One time in 8th grade the yearbook committee went so far as to put my photo on the “Halloween celebrations” page when I WAS NOT wearing a costume. How cute of them. Maybe I have told you this story before but the moral here is - don’t put any stock into what anyone says - your worst critic or your biggest fan - be your true and fabulous or spooky and misunderstood self. Every day of the year. It’s all good. 🎃
