3,211 miles. 12 days. 9 stops. 50+ hours of music. 2 best friends. Roughly 10 million dead windshield bugs. A private island’s fortune in gas. And it was all WORTH IT! Finally achieved my childhood dream of going cross-country! I mistook Lake Erie for the ocean, got to experience likely the worst opening day in Cedar Point’s history even though I was tall enough to ride the (non-operational) roller coasters, finally saw The Bean on my 3rd trip to Chicago (and reunited with my favorite great aunt @dianecookjohnson), went to the # 1 attraction in all of Nebraska (that specific jellyfish tank), made it to Chimney Rock without dying of dysentery, got “protected” from potential bears (see video: 🔪🐻😬), hiked Rocky Mountain National Park, returned to one of my favorite memories at the Sundance Resort, lounged it up so hard at the pool that I forgot to gamble in Vegas, and finally reunited with @quinnshephardofficial in Los Angeles! It was genuinely the trip of a lifetime. And of course I couldn’t have done it without @tmacked—thanks for doing 65% of the driving (*cough* 75%), never making me turn off my sad boy music, squeegeeing the windshield at every gas station, and for always being the Kronk to my Yzma 💜
