Meet Chef Andrew Ayala, our Chef de Cuisine.⁠ Being part of the team in 2019 when we were first awarded our Michelin Star, he is no stranger to the LJ kitchen. See what he had to say about the Le Jardinier team and his experience working with The Bastion Collection.⁠ ⁠ "I love working at LJ because I get to work with a team of talented and diverse individuals like Chef Alain, Chef Sal and Juan. We've worked together for years and we've done plenty of openings together.⁠ ⁠ My role has helped me develop into a better leader. Instead of telling someone "no" or "don't do that," I explain why and the effects it will have if not done properly. During my time as a cook, I was told no but was too scared to ask why.⁠ We provide knowledge that will be remembered throughout your career. Learning how to cook with sense of smell, taste, sound and visual as apposed to just handing out a recipe.⁠ ⁠ What I find unique about working at LJ is that we are constantly changing the menu, and we get to see new and different ingredients. All the Le Jardinier locations are similar, but have their own personality, I should say.
