A lot of my family thinks I’m silly for the lack of sleep I will endure on the trips I take. Pulling all nighters to get miles in, and making sleep a last priority. But the way I look at it is, I’ve slept so much of my life and I know I will keep spending so much time with my eyes closed. So on the days I get the chance to keep them open as long as my body will let me, heck I will push it. Because when you end a 7 hour drive through the night to find yourself with a view like this, I promise as I’m watching the sun climb over the hills I’m not wishing I was in bed, and I’m not thinking about a sleepless night or the bags under my eyes. I’m just grateful. My first thought is how it was all worth it and that i would without a doubt do it again.
