hello FEMINA and to EVERYONE reading this, thank you for being here❤️ This is a big deal for me, for us, for everyone out there actually. And why you ask? Because we are finally addressing what real skin looks like on a bigger scale! All those nights I spent as a teenager picking on my skin, crying because I wasn’t “perfect”, comparing myself to magazine models, covering up my face so people would not comment on my pimples and scars, and always feeling like I will never be beautiful for not having clear skin...has finally made me brave enough to come forward and show my bare skin on a magazine cover which I only hope reaches millions and millions of hearts. This is a cover that teenager me needed to see, so she can understand that real skin is supposed to go through changes. That real skin is beautiful in itself regardless of scars. And that real skin should be healthy not perfect. With that being said, I would like to add that we are not promoting or romanticizing pimples. We are simply truth bearers of a very flawed and unrealistic beauty standard which needs to be broken.
