Last year, I had the great opportunity to meet with, and photograph a collection of boxers from @SouthBoxGym. Casted by @EricKellyLife, former member of the U.S. National Olympic team, and four-time national boxing champion, the series explores and unpacks what it takes to be a fighter. From training teens, to industry known coaches, my goal was to learn, and unlearn what I knew about boxing. It quickly became apparent that in order to win, a sophisticated mental strategy and powerful mindset, were of greater importance than physical strength - Hence the title, ‘Physical Chess’.
