We are excited to announce a remastered reissue of Domestica, coming later this summer. We brought the original two ‘models’ back and created a whole new shoot, imagining what their lives would look like twenty years later. Though Domestica has always been cited as a divorce record, the story still stands that this couple never actually divorces, but rather, learn to take off the boxing gloves and accept the decisions they’ve made (“the night I lost the will to fight”). We imagined them as staying together, though never fully settling into their chosen lives. Somewhere down the line they get pregnant and have a daughter, as that’s what you do, though again, they still seem to struggle with this ultimate decision of staying together, wondering who they may have been, how things would’ve turned out, had they split up so many years prior.
