Hi my name is DeAndre and for the past 5 months or so I gradually watched myself shutdown my connection to my heart, to my body and to my mind. I've been depressed and as I grow older I realize that depression isn't something to feel ashamed of. It's a natural reaction to loss, uncertainty and uncomfortable change and unlike when I was younger, I now have healthy processes to move through my depression. I submitted photos to this AI app called Lensa because I saw so many beautiful alternate versions of my friends that I wanted to see what it spat out. This might be my favorite art picture I've ever seen of me and it's scary that AI made it. In my opinion it captures the soft strength of being the tender soul that I am and it speaks to the confidence I have about navigating murky waters. I'm opening my heart again and I can feel myself graduating from this season of depression. ❤️ P.s.
