40% of my clients have already had loc extensions before & removed them.👀 (long caption ahead but the info is worth it ✨) And no, it’s not because they wanted different parts/grid or a different loc style but rather due to the actions or inactions their permanent loc stylist took. Permanent loc installs go beyond what type of loc needle and which hair to use. You need to have deep understanding of hair types and density and better processes.🎯 Here are the (3) things to consider and ask if you want to be ahead of the game. 📍Step 1: Assess your clients hair type/density/health: Understand their overall goal for their loc journey. Communicate your strategy for a healthy loc install. Can you create a middle point between their dream install and what’s healthy for their hair?*Are you comfortable working with their hair type?* 📍Step 2: Prep and Coordinate: What tools work best for locing your clients hair? And what maintenance method would fit their lifestyle? 📍Step 3: Deliver and off board: Create a beautiful client experience , educate your client along the way and off board them properly. Communicate the best practices and best products for their new install. Failure to have foundational knowledge of the different client scenarios and hair types will leave with a calendar full of CORRECTIONS vs actual loc installs. Did this resonate with you? Let me know in the comments. 👇🏾 📍PS: enrollment for my hands on loc workshop, opens soon and I've already gotten so many DMs about the details! Want more info? Let me know in the comments
