I feel like part of teaching (for me!) is constantly being a student. I LOVE watching others interpret choreography. (Often times love even more than dancing it myself) Getting the chance to relay what I am learning with fellow artists is one of the greatest privileges I’ve ever known. Sometimes seeing myself do my own choreo is VERY STRANGE and not what I envisioned 😂 Because I’m constantly picturing other dancers! Is this class combo demonstration perfect? No... Never! But is it indicative of what class is meant for? (Diving into the process and exploring new and old parts of your dancer self?) ah yes... perhaps! Here is a work in progress version of Angie, who we love for her strength, resilience, and independent thinking against all odds in a time and place where that was rarely seen.
