REPOST• @mtv hiii HOLYY smokes my poem’s on mtv...??? tomorrow, Shaandiin Tome’s short will air on all MTVe channels @ 5pm EST. It will be playing for the entire month of November as a part of Shaandiin’s beautiful, incredible collaboration with MTV for Native American Heritage Month. I’ve never seen Navajos like this (!!!) on MTV before, or VH1, or Paramount, or Nickelodeon, or Comedy Central. I’ve never heard poetry on there before either, especially not poetry by a Native person. Axhéhee’ for letting me play a role in this creative vision alongside some amazing artists, role models, and community members. It means so much, especially to a lil Diné music nerd raised on MTV.
