Are you team pickle?
I’m still trying to get @petricej to embrace a fermented pickle and he’s come a long way in 2 years. I hope if you have prickle problems, I hope you too will learn to become a pickle pal.
Pickled things vs Fermented things -
Pickled means to soak the produce in acidic vinegar/brine
Fermented means to allow the natural fermentative bacteria to produce acids that preserve the produce, while also adding that sour/tart flavor we all love
Fermenting > pickling for BIG health benefits
fermented pickle benefits:
Full of beneficial bacteria + probiotics, for gut health
Supports a healthy CNV (central nervous system)
Can potentially biodegrade pesticide residue
Skin health
Benefits for mental health
Preventative and supportive when sick
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always get down on pickled things - I do love them. AND if you’re wanting to maximize the benefits of these tart elements; I’d opt for fermented. 🌿
